Bear Lake II + July 4th

It’s cold cold today in Santiago, and these pictures make me miss summer! Was this really just a month ago? What fun we had.The place where we stay has an indoor pool — so great to have a break from the sun and sand. I’m sorry, but how cute are those faces?Lots of little boys. There’s also a tiny one, not pictured.Ben loves babies.Just a few of the little girls — Mary doted on little Eliza, who’s not quite 2. She really wishes she had a little sister! One day the boys played games……while the girls had a “spa day.”I’ve decided that the best July 4th celebrations are in the smallest towns. This year, we were in Paris, Idaho, population 576. We listened to patriotic music on the lawn of the town’s tabernacle. And then there was a parade with candy-throwing (Uncle Andrew is worried someone is going to get hit by a float!).Robin and I even found a shady spot. Even though there were no fireworks this year, because of the real fires, it was a perfect 4th with the family.
