Matt’s siblings get together almost every year for some kind of reunion and this year opted for a budget-friendly “staycation,” meaning that the activities centered around his mom’s house. We only had three days, so the hard part was deciding which activities to choose from. There was an afternoon at Cowabunga Bay, and I don’t know how that place stays in business because their water is too darn cold! But, their proximity to In-n-Out Burger may be a selling point. We spent one whole day in beautiful Big Cottonwood Canyon. Locals will know this already, but a perfect little hike to do with kids is Silver Lake (drive all the way up by Brighton Ski Resort). It’s almost all stroller accessible and a lovely spot. Another day we played at a park and went swimming. The final day was Sunday, so there was church and a big Sunday dinner, plus something else that was so hilarious it’s going to require its own post. Here are pretty canyon and park pictures.
