I resolve

…to stop apologizing about my house.

…to pay attention to the quality of the food I put in my mouth.

…to improve my physical fitness.

…to make more of an effort to communicate with my friends.

…to remember birthdays, at least some of the time.

…to focus less on being productive and more on being happy.

Hey, my birthday is in June. Just kidding. Those are good resolutions. They sound easier to keep, than set in stone rules versus guidelines. Good luck.

LOVED THE LIST! This is a realistic set of goals that I am going to adopt. You are such a stud! And by the way, you married into an amazing family (as did I).

I just read a book that would help with resolution #2:

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver

It definitely made me more aware of food and motivated to choose more carefully.

    Happy New Year!

Awesome list. I was thinking abou my own list just before I read yours. Now, I’m actually going to have to put pen to paper. You have inspired me again!

I misread and thought you said the quality of “foot” you put in your mouth, and (for a second) I thought, “yeah, at least if I’m going to have my foot in my mouth all of the time..” But you said food not foot, it still might work for my problem though (you know, the foot in the mouth, all the time)

I like the simple, guiding priciples that you have resolved to do. I have a huge list and should probably simplify it a bit.

I resolve to stop reading people’s blogs I don’t know…now that I’ve read through your entire blog I feel like I know you. Can’t wait to see you again…

Hi, Liz! After seeing you today I caught up on your wonderful blog. Love your resolution list (and yes, you must never apologize about your house; it’s very cool!).

Two more blogs you may enjoy reading (as if there aren’t enough out there) are one my niece writes at http://angn4plus4.blogspot.com, and one her friend writes at http://apersonnamedeunice.blogspot.com They’re both South Jordan Mormon moms of four (kids approximately your age), and both published writers with great insight and humor. They’re a good read.
