a public service announcement

If you have not yet seen the movie Amazing Grace, please put it on your to-do list with a star by it.  Move it to the top of your on-line rental queue.  You might even want to buy it.

It will restore your faith in film-making.  It will make you want to be a better person.  It may make you have a little crush on Ioan Gruffudd (anyone know how to pronounce that?).

Tim and I watched it on New Year’s Eve (now with a baby our holidays are pretty low-key!). It was awesome. Thanks for posting about it, I was going to but haven’t got around to it!

This is a fantastic movie that Robin and really enjoyed. About 30 minutes into it, I realized that the main actor was Mr. Fantastic from the “Fantastic Four.” Then I had to fight against thinking of him stretching his arms and legs in unnatural positions as he did in “Fantastic Four.” Hope that doesn’t ruin it for anyone…

Oh, yeah, this movie is one of the best I’ve seen this year. I never heard of Wilberforce before this but an English friend said he’s something of a “minor national hero, not along the lines of Nelson but close to it.”

Thanks for putting this post up–spread the word!
